Orioles | Used biochemical analysis with Chris Tillman

The Baltimore Orioles have seen a tremendous turnaround by SP Chris Tillman. It turns out the changes are the direct result of biochemical analysis, which analyzes a pitcher's delivery. The team started it in spring training when the pitchers' various deliveries were recorded. After analysis at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala., DVDs were returned on each pitcher to the team. The club's director of pitching development, Rick Peterson, then developed some changes for several pitchers based on the findings.
