Red Sox | Scott Podsednik might be back Saturday

The Boston Red Sox activated OF Scott Podsednik (groin) from the 15-day disabled list Friday, July 6, and optioned him to Triple-A Pawtucket. He might be back Saturday, July 7, as the team's 26th man for a doubleheader against the New York Yankees. Per the new collective bargaining agreement, team's can call up a 26th player without making a corresponding move in doubleheaders.
