Red Sox | Dustin Pedroia to DL
The Boston Red Sox officially placed 2B Dustin Pedroia (thumb) on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right thumb Friday, July 6, and recalled INF Pedro Ciriaco from Triple-A Pawtucket in a corresponding move. RP Rich Hill (elbow) was also moved to the 60-day disabled list. Ciriaco was hitting .301 with Pawtucket.
