Tigers | Ryan Raburn's leash growing shorter
Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland said that 2B Ryan Raburn is going to have a problem if he can't improve against left-handed hitters to help the team. Raburn went 0-for-4 against a lefty Wednesday, July 4, and is hitting .176 on the year and .177 against southpaws. "I tossed and turned with it today to play Berry or Raburn," Leyland said. "I ended up playing Raburn. The thought process is if Raburn doesn't help us against left-handers, then we've got issues. So you give him the benefit of the doubt to see if maybe you can get him going a little bit."
