Dolphins | Coleman Note

Alex Marvez reports for the Sun Sentinel the Miami Dolphins are not likely to sign DE Marco Coleman, after he is released by the Redskins Monday. Miami really wants Coleman, as he could be their top backup at defensive end, but Coleman is seeking a multi-year contract worth more than the veteran minimum salary the Dolphins had planned to offer. The team may wait and try to sign Rob Burnett or Michael Sinclair. "What we're looking for is a role veteran defensive end," said Rick Spielman, the Dolphins vice president of football operations/player personnel.
