St. Louis Cardinals 1B Lance Berkman (calf) did some running Monday, July 2. "It's just nice to have him around, and I actually saw him make a few swings," manager Mike Matheny said. "He's doing a lot of forward things, not a lot of side-to-side yet, but he's coming along well. ... He hasn't been sitting around on the couch the last month."
