Nationals | Henry Rodriguez ready to return

Washington Nationals RP Henry Rodriguez (finger) said he has improved during his stay on the disabled list, and he thinks he is ready to return to the team soon. He has tossed six scoreless innings and given up no hits in six rehab outings in the minors, but he walked five hitters (four with Triple-A Syracuse). Rodriguez was hitting 96 and 97 mph on the radar gun with Double-A Altoona Thursday, June 28. "It was the mechanics," Rodriguez said. "I have been working on my mechanics and getting back to the point where I was when I started the season. These are things that happen. It's hard to control my velocity. I try hard to control the speed and being around the strike zone."
