Orioles | Nick Johnson to DL

The Baltimore Orioles placed 1B Nick Johnson (wrist) on the disabled list with a sprained right wrist Thursday, June 28, and recalled OF Xavier Avery from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Avery was hitting .333 (14-for-42) with eight walks, five stolen bases and 11 runs scored at Norfolk.

Fantasy Tip: Avery has a chance to steal valuable playing time with Endy Chavez (hamstring) and Nolan Reimold (neck) out. He stole four bases in his previous stint with the club this year and is worth considering for his speed in deep mixers.
