Giants | Buster Posey gets day off

San Francisco Giants C Buster Posey was given a scheduled day off Monday, June 25, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He had started 22 of the past 24 games, and the team wants to be cautious, although he has had no setbacks from his offseason ankle surgery. "He feels it a little," manager Bruce Bochy said. "He doesn't want to sit, but at the same time he knows it's probably better to get off the ankle. You have to remember where you are at, and that's June. It's a good time to give him a day."
