New England Patriots TE Daniel Fells (ankle) is considered the favorite for the No. 3 tight end job, although the team recently signed undrafted rookie TE Tyler Urban to compete. The team might also opt to bring aboard another veteran to supply depth and competition. They recently cut TE Bo Scaife loose during organized team activities (OTAs).
