Vikings | Adrian Peterson expects to be ready in Week 1
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said Wednesday, June 20, that RB Adrian Peterson (knee) has not suffered any setbacks during his rehabilitation. Peterson said he needs to get strength in his left leg, not only in the knee, but "the quad, the hamstring and the calf." Peterson is taking part in non-contract drills, and hopes to be ready for training camp in some capacity when it opens July 26. However, he said he expects to be ready Sept. 9 when the team opens the regular season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team is cautiously optimistic Peterson will be able to start then.
