Saints | Jonathan Vilma cuts short bounty hearing

Updating an ongoing story, all four suspended New Orleans Saints players and their attorneys left an appeal before NFL commissioner Roger Goodell Monday, June 18, roughly an hour after their hearings began. Peter Ginsberg, the lawyer for suspended LB Jonathan Vilma, said after a few opening remarks and challenges, Goodell asked to adjourn the meeting and reconvene later. Vilma does not plan to return. Other suspended players who were in attendance for the appeal - Cleveland Browns LB Scott Fujita, Green Bay Packers DL Anthony Hargrove and Saints DL Will Smith - could return; however, that is unknown at this point.
