Athletics | Ryan Cook locked in as closer?

Oakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin said Saturday, June 16, that RP Ryan Cook is pitching well, but he is not necessarily the primary closer despite three saves this week. "We're gonna do the best we can to get him in that role," Melvin said. "If I need him earlier, I have confidence in the other guys (for saves.)"
