Yankees | Phil Hughes benefits from Andy Pettitte's guidance
New York Yankees SP Andy Pettitte said he has worked with SP Phil Hughes on concealing the ball better as it comes out of his hand to avoid tipping his pitches. Hughes has gone 6-1 over his last eight starts following a shaky April and said Pettitte has had a positive impact on the entire pitching staff since his return. "It's been great to have (Pettitte) around," he said. "He's a guy I leaned on my entire career until last year. He brings a lot of experience, and he's great with everyone around here. It's been nice having him back." Entering play Saturday, June 16, Yankees starters led the majors with 32 victories.
