Steelers | Mike Wallace and team still negotiating
The Pittsburgh Steelers have not reduced their one-year, $2.7 million offer to WR Mike Wallace, a restricted free agent, and they never seriously considered exercising that option. General manager Kevin Colbert said the team is in negotiations with Wallace and they have always wanted to sign him to a long-term deal.
Fantasy Tip: Wallace has a ton of talent and value in fantasy football leagues, but he needs to be signed, sealed and delivered for any of that to matter. This one will continue to play out and we remain hopeful the two sides will come to terms before the start of training camp. If that's the case, all of this contract drama becomes a moot point when it comes to his fantasy football value, which is that of a low-end No. 1 wide out.
