Bengals | Jermaine Gresham looking to improve
Cincinnati Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham has been watching the play of New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski and New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham from last year. "I've watched every catch five times ... You have to see what they're doing. How they're getting open, how they're getting so many balls," Gresham said. The Bengals are hoping Gresham can turn into an X-factor for second-year QB Andy Dalton. Gresham is looking at improving his yards per catch, while Dalton said Gresham will probably have more catches this year simply because everyone has a better idea of what is going on in the offense.
Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said Gresham has come a long way in his route discipline and knowledge of the offense. However, he also noted Gresham still has areas to improve and has to keep at it every day. Gruden noted the team has to do a good job at having Gresham involved in their passing game downfield this year.
Fantasy Tip: Gresham pushed his numbers to 56 receptions for 596 yards and six receiving touchdowns last year. With no clear-cut No. 2 receiver opposite Green, Gresham could see his numbers go up and be a nice value during your fantasy football draft.
