White Sox | Gordon Beckham makes adjustments at the plate
Chicago White Sox hitting coach Jeff Manto said 2B Gordon Beckham has made adjustments at the plate that should allow him to enjoy the same success he experienced in college and during his rookie season. "Right now he's square, head with the shoulders," Manto said. "He has way better balance, and he's way more aggressive. In the position he is now, being taller, and the bat path a little better, he can sustain. I'm not saying he can hit .300 or .280, but he's able to make adjustments throughout a season." Manto said that Beckham's bat path was off and his shoulders were steep before he adjusted his batting stance.
