Houston Texans OT Derek Newton is pushing OT Rashad Butler for the starting right tackle job, and he has impressed the coaches enough to be used as an extra tight end on short-yardage and goal-line situations. "He's doing really well," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "We're in shorts, so it's hard to tell with big guys. Athletically and then now mentally, Newton's catching up enough to battle for a starting spot."
