Reds | Chris Heisey turning it around

Cincinnati Reds OF Chris Heisey was hitting .200 on May 13, but a batting practice session in the batting cage with hitting coach Brook Jacoby turned it around. "We kind of took the swing and went back to basics," Heisey said. "I found out my hands weren't getting separated. Ever since then, I've concentrated on getting my hands away from my body. I've been able to stay back on breaking balls and not swing at so many breaking balls down in the dirt." Heisey entered the game Friday, June 1, with 20 hits over his past 50 at-bats, raising is average to .283.
