Rockies | Troy Tulowitzki to DL

The Colorado Rockies placed SS Troy Tulowitzki (groin) on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left groin Thursday, May 31, and activated 3B Chris Nelson (wrist) from the DL in a corresponding move. The team expects to know the results of Tulowitzki's MRI exam later Thursday. He'll rest for four days before trying to resume baseball-related activities. INF Marco Scutaro is starting at shortstop and INF DJ LeMahieu is at second base Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: The Rockies wisely changed their minds and decided to play this one cautiously. None of the players who'll benefit from Tulo's absence is attractive for fantasy purposes, except perhaps in NL leagues. Scutaro's PT doesn't increase, and the numbers he'll provide won't be spectacular, but he could be a suitable replacement in shallow leagues.
