Angels | Fifth starter spot might be skipped
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have a scheduled day off Thursday, May 31, so manager Mike Scioscia might elect to skip the fifth starter spot. Originally, the day off would have allowed each starter an extra day of rest, but the injury to SP Jered Weaver (back) might change that. SP Garrett Richards, recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake, might be available out of the bullpen in the meantime.
