Yankees | Scare for Derek Jeter
New York Yankees SS Derek Jeter (wrist) rolled his left wrist making a diving stop in the hole in the second inning Saturday, May 26, against the Oakland Athletics. "I was concerned,'' said Yankees manager Joe Girardi, who was almost out of the dugout to check on the shortstop. "But Robby [Cano] waved us off.'' Instead, Jeter stayed in the game and went 2-for-4, tying George Brett for 14th all-time with 3,154 career hits.
