Eagles | Jason Peters could lose money because of injury
Philadelphia Eagles OT Jason Peters (Achilles') could lose money this season because he suffered his injury away from the team's facility and would count as a non-football injury. The collective bargaining agreement states players on the non-football injury list are not entitled to their salary while on the list. Peters could lose at least $3.25 million of his 2012 salary because that is the amount they will be paying OT Demetress Bell to take his spot. The team has talked about the possibility of reducing the salary with Peters and his agent but likely will not reduce his salary.
