Mets | Ruben Tejada leaves with quad strain

New York Mets SS Ruben Tejada (quadriceps) left the game Sunday, May 6, against the Arizona Diamondbacks due to a strained right quadriceps muscle. Tejada was sent for an MRI Sunday. INF Jordany Valdespin, optioned to Triple-A Buffalo, is being summoned to join the team in Philadelphia in case Tejada is forced to the 15-day disabled list.
