Dodgers | Juan Rivera tests hamstring, pinch hits
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Juan Rivera (hamstring) tested his strained left hamstring by running in the outfield grass before the game Saturday, April 28, and he was cleared to pinch hit. He appeared in the game and hit into a double play as a pinch hitter. Manager Don Mattingly said there is no timetable for Rivera to return to the field. "We can't throw him out there," Mattingly said. "He's got to be able to do some stuff before we can put him in the field. If it's another day-to-day, then we're starting to get into a few days down the road, see where we're at. We're hoping in a couple days."
