Texans | Comfortable with DeVier Posey selection
The Houston Texans did plenty of due diligence on rookie WR DeVier Posey, a third-round selection, who played in just three games during his senior year due to two five-game suspensions. One suspension was for selling his 2008 Big Ten championship ring, while the other was for allegedly taking too much money from a booster during a summer job. Offensive coordinator Rick Dennison said Posey made a mistake and they felt pretty comfortable taking him. "We thought we had a talent that was comparable to some of the guys that were taken a lot earlier," Dennison said. Dennison noted Posey has good size, so he'll fit in with the rest of the team's wideouts. He also added Posey has good ball skills and runs great routes.
