Pirates | Rod Barajas could have effect on A.J. Burnett

The Pittsburgh Pirates gave a call to C Rod Barajas when they signed SP A.J. Burnett in the offseason. The reason: Barajas caught Burnett with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2008 when he went 18-10 with a career-high 231 strikeouts. Burnett threw 70 percent of his pitches in the strike zone in his first start of the season. "We kind of go back to what he did well that year," Barajas said of looking at Burnett's years in Toronto. "It's awesome, already having that relationship built up. It should put him at ease."
