Indians | Johnny Damon deal official

The Cleveland Indians finalized their one-year minor league deal with OF Johnny Damon Tuesday, April 17, and he will participate in an abbreviated spring training before joining the team, most likely in early May. He will work out in extended spring training before being relegated to a minor league affiliate, most likely Triple-A Columbus. OF Shelley Duncan will remain the starter in left field in the meantime.
