Orioles | Ryan Flaherty to start at 3B this weekend

Baltimore Orioles 2B Ryan Flaherty, a Rule 5 pick, will get his first major league start either Saturday, April 14, or Sunday, April 15. "Lot of new things being thrown at him that he's never had before," manager Buck Showalter said. "So I think my plan all along was to try to start him on the first road trip, maybe get his feet wet a little bit at home if we could." Flaherty entered the game Saturday, April 7, as a defensive replacement, but he did not get an at-bat.
