Mets | Pitchers rehabbing
New York Mets SP Jenrry Mejia (elbow) faced hitters Monday, April 9, for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery in May of last year. He will face hitters again Saturday, April 14, and Thursday, April 19. The team is still deciding if they want him starting or relieving, but it's more likely that he can pitch in relief this year. RP D.J. Carrasco (ankle) has resumed throwing off a mound and RP Pedro Beato (shoulder) is coming along "slowly." SP Chris Young (shoulder) has yet to face hitters.
