Cubs | Ryan Dempster shines in loss

Chicago Cubs SP Ryan Dempster took a three-hit shutout into the seventh inning but wound up losing to the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday, April 11. He finished by allowing two runs and five hits while walking three and striking out five in 6 2/3 innings. His strikeout in the fifth inning made him the 12th pitcher in team history to reach 1,000 strikeouts.
