Yankees | Francisco Cervelli would be called up

New York Yankees C Francisco Cervelli would be called up to start if C Russell Martin suffers an injury. The Yanks optioned Cervelli to the minors when they acquired C Chris Stewart because Cervelli has minor league options left and Stewart does not. "I think (Cervelli) is one of the 60 best catchers in the game, no doubt," general manager Brian Cashman said. "Right now we have maybe three of the best 60 catchers in the game. That's good for us, not for him."
