Padres | Kyle Blanks a candidate for DL

San Diego Padres OF Kyle Blanks (shoulder) is a candidate to open the season on the disabled list with OF Carlos Quentin (knee). Blanks' shoulder is still sore, and manager Bud Black said there "is some kind of an impingement." There is no timetable on Blanks. If he opens the year on the DL, both SS Everth Cabrera and OF Andrew Parrino are expected to make the roster. OF Jeremy Hermida is also in consideration.
