Tigers | Andrew Oliver struggles with location
Detroit Tigers SP Andrew Oliver, who is competing for a rotation spot, walked five in 3 2/3 innings in his Grapefruit League start Wednesday, March 21. "I was just a little bit out of rhythm, a little bit too slow, trying to go through my mechanics. The rhythm was too slow trying to get everything to sync up. That was probably the biggest thing. ... My body was going a little too quick for my arm," Oliver said. He has a history of command problems; he walked 80 batters in 147 innings with Triple-A Toledo last season.
