Cubs | Several players ailing

Chicago Cubs 3B Ian Stewart (quadriceps) took ground balls Friday, March 16, but is listed as day-to-day with a sore right quadriceps. X-rays were negative on INF Blake DeWitt's (hand) right hand after he was hit by a pitch Thursday, March 15. He is day-to-day, too. 2B Darwin Barney (side) felt better Friday after dealing with tightness in his left side.
