Colts | Dwight Freeney on the way out?

The Indianapolis Colts could be on the verge of releasing DL Dwight Freeney. Freeney is entering the final season of a six-year, $72 million contract. He has a base salary of $14.035 million, and a cap number of $19.035 million, according to a league source. The Colts have more than $30 million tied up in a pair of defensive ends after re-signing DL Robert Mathis. Mathis is scheduled to earn $17 million alone in 2012.
