Twins | Might take look at J.R. Towles

Minnesota Twins general manager Terry Ryan has made it clear he needs more offensive production out of the backup catchers. Right now, Cs Drew Butera and Ryan Doumit are projected as the second and third catcher behind C Joe Mauer, but C J.R. Towles might force his way into the conversation. Towles belted a two-run homer in his only at-bat Sunday, March 4.
