Blue Jays | Jesse Litsch to miss at least six weeks
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Farrell said that RP Jesse Litsch (shoulder) underwent emergency surgery Tuesday, Feb. 28, after he contracted an infection from a platelet rich plasma injection from orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. He will not be allowed to throw for at least six weeks. Litsch is currently recovering at home after having spent 2 1/2 days in a hospital and he will need to take antibiotics for the next four weeks.
