Astros | Sergio Escalona shut down
Houston Astros RP Sergio Escalona's (elbow) MRI exam revealed no structural damage in his left elbow, but he will not be cleared to throw for a few more days. He is feeling the most pain when he breaks off a curveball or throws his changeup. "We're going to give him a few days until it starts calming down," manager Bradley Mills said. "I don't know exactly (how long), but probably four or five days he'll be shut down, upwards to six days. He needs to start feeling better before he starts throwing and gets his arm strength back up to face hitters."
