Mariners | Chone Figgins looking good at leadoff
Seattle Mariners 3B Chone Figgins is impressing out of the leadoff spot this spring, and he bunted for a hit and later homered in an intrasquad game Tuesday, Feb. 28. "He's seeing a lot of pitches," Wedge said. "He's doing right now what we need him to do." Figgins started at shortstop in place of SS Brendan Ryan (shoulder, toe), who is expected to play Wednesday, Feb. 29.
