MLB | Magglio Ordonez could return to Venezuela

Free-agent OF Magglio Ordonez (Tigers) could return to his native Venezuela and become part-owner of a local baseball team if he doesn't find a job in the major leagues this season. He is considering purchasing shares in the Caribes de Anzoategui, although league rules would prevent him from owning a team as long as he is an active player. Ordonez, who hasn't played in a Venezuelan winter league game since 2004, has served as a recruiter and adviser for the team in recent years. He has been involved with the organization since starting there as a player in 1991.
