Patriots | Tom Brady throws for two scores in Super Bowl
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady finished Super Bowl XLVI 27 for 41 for 276 yards with two touchdown passes and one interception. Brady, down 21-17 with 57 seconds remaining, could not lead the team into the end zone on the final play as his pass fell just out of the reach of TE Rob Gronkowski. His receivers dropped several passes during the fourth quarter, including some key drops on the team's final possession. "Certainly it wasn't one play that was the reason we lost. Everybody feels they could do a little more. I'd rather come to this game and lose than not get here," Brady said of his second Super Bowl loss. Brady set an NFL record with 16 consecutive completions during the game.
