Vikings | Joe Webb could be used in different ways in 2012

The Minnesota Vikings could use QB Joe Webb as a wide receiver and a kick returner in addition to a quarterback next season because they are committed to QB Christian Ponder as their starting quarterback.

Gary Winokur, at 09:33 on 01/28/12, says:

Joe Webb has speed and leaping ability. The Vike's should find out if he has hands. I'm not sure why they did not determine this prior to this year's draft.

Paul Ensign, at 09:52 on 01/28/12, says:

Joe Webb should be quarterback and bench that stiff Ponder. The Vikings made a huge mistake in drafting Christian Ponder and are too embarrassed to admit it. Meanwhile they are sitting on the next great superstar in the NFL. Joe Webb is a quarterback, not a gimmick. Play him or trade him to someone who will. Heck at least Ponder does look "athletic" when he scores points for the opposing teams.
