New England Patriots LB Andre Carter's (knee) X-rays came back negative Sunday, Dec. 18, but he is still expected to need surgery and miss the rest of the season. The team is being mum on the exact injury, but it's being described as a knee injury. LB Markell Carter could be promoted from the practice squad.
