Jets | Nnamdi Asomugha close to signing
Philadelphia Eagles CB Nnamdi Asomugha said he was really close to signing with the New York Jets last offseason. However, the seeds had been sown for the Eagles at the Pro Bowl, when QB Michael Vick and WR DeSean Jackson talked up the organization to Asomugha. The Eagles were the late, mystery bidder, and Asomugha said his feeling all along was if they became involved, he would choose them.
