The Boston Red Sox haven't ruled out interviewing former manager and ESPN analyst Bobby Valentine for their managerial opening. Sources said Detroit Tigers third base coach Gene Lamont had a strong showing in his interview. The BoSox did not extend an offer to Milwaukee Brewers hitting coach Dale Sveum after he received an offer from the Chicago Cubs for the same job.
