Red Sox | Expect to have manager in place by Thanksgiving
The Boston Red Sox interviewed Detroit Tigers bench coach Gene Lamont Saturday, Nov. 12, and it is believed their first round of managerial interviews is complete. The team might start to meet with finalists as soon as the General Managers Meetings in Milwaukee next week. "I'm going to get together with ownership," general manager Ben Cherington said Saturday, Nov. 12. "We're all going to be in Milwaukee. At least, most of use are going to be in Milwaukee. We'll start to narrow the field down, again with the goal of having someone in place before Thanksgiving.
