Mets | Wilmer Flores expected to stay at SS

New York Mets SS Wilmer Flores, one of the team's top shortstop prospects, is not expected to change positions despite the fact that he is playing other position in winter ball in Venezuela. Flores is batting .167 in 48 at-bats in winter ball and has made 12 starts at third base and two apiece at second base and short. "We've talked about the benefits of him staying at shortstop and it will help him regardless of where he moves. We do think that the next move, if there is a move, and I think it's probably likely at some point, it will be in the infield," vice president Paul DePodesta said.
