Seahawks | Wanted to let Tarvaris Jackson rest
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Sunday, Oct. 30, that he was hopeful of resting QB Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral) for one more week, but he was thrust into action with QB Charlie Whitehurst ineffective to start the Week 8 game. "I was hoping to see that we could rest (Tarvaris) for another week," Carroll said. "I was hoping to do that." Jackson ended up coming on after two drives by Whitehurst and throwing for a career-high 323 yards off the bench.
