Vikings | Donovan McNabb defends work ethic

The Minnesota Vikings benched QB Donovan McNabb at least in part because he wasn't putting in the time to be a great player and leader, according to people in the organization. McNabb refuted the report, however, by saying he did put in the necessary time and did what coaches asked him to do, and he is more disappointed that the story has become about him than about being demoted for what coaches believed was best for the team.
